About the band

Formed in DC in 2008, Midnight Hike has been serving up their potent blend of rock/pop songs to dedicated crowds throughout the region's venues, including the 9:30 Club, the State Theatre, the Fillmore, and the Rock & Roll Hotel.

Midnight Hike's first album “Long Way from Yesterday” was produced in 2010 by Frank Marchand (Cracker, Bob Mould) and Warren Boes (All Mighty Senators) and received regional acclaim. In 2011, Midnight Hike was voted Best Bands by the Washington City Paper’s 2011 Readers Poll. This led to regional radio play and a series of performances with legendary rockers (e.g. Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult) and nationally touring up-and-comers (e.g. Truth & Salvage Co.).

Veterans of regional and national touring bands, Midnight Hike took a break from playing live for the better part of 2012 to focus on writing/recording the album they suspected they had in them. In November 2012, they released their second album “Shoot the Moon,” and will debut the songs live at their December 14 Album Release show at the State Theatre in Falls Church, VA.

Midnight Hike maintains all its original members which include Bill LeBlanc (guitar), Eric Letsinger (drums), Kent Marcoux (piano/keys/vocal), Pete Raczynski (bass), James Rea (guitar) and Eric Schmid (vocal).
